A crayfish boil, also known as a crawfish boil or crawdad boil, is a traditional food event originating in Louisiana, The deep south. Rooted in Southern and Cajun culture, it’s where friends and family come together to celebrate and enjoy delicious food.

Yes, we have crayfish here in the UK. The native crayfish species this side of the pond, known as the white-clawed crayfish have faced significant population declines due to the introduction of non-native species and habitat degradation. The white-clawed crayfish is now considered endangered and is protected by law. So what’s happening about it? Enter the one, the only, Crayfish Bob who harvests the invasive American Signal Crayfish that threaten our native crayfish and other life. Bob is doing an amazing job in ridding our waters of this pesky interloper. So you can munch through all the crayfish you like, safe in the knowledge you're helping the environment!
